Townes at Old Stone HOA
Charlotte, North Carolina

Nominee – David Ward (2010)

Homeowner and Current Board Member

I have been on the Board of the Homeowners Association for the Townes at Old Stone Crossing for the past few months as a replacement member.  My wife, Maura, and I moved into the community in 2007.  I have attended the Homeowners Association meetings since then.  The most recently elected Board has been making a lot of improvements and working hard to keep our community a great place to live.

When the opportunity presented itself a few months ago, I took it and became a member of the Board.  I have had a great experience working on the Board and hope that I will have the opportunity to continue my service on the Board.  I have enjoyed the opportunity to hear the needs of the community and working with the other Board Members to improve the neighborhood.  Through my job I handle customer calls and have to work through problems to reach a solution, this experience helps with the handling of issues brought up in the community.  At work I also review contracts with my customers, this helps when we meet with vendors and are working through their contracts for business.  I want to put my skills learned at work to use to make The Townes at Old Stone Crossing a community you are proud to call home.
